Twas the Week Before Christmas

OK, you got me. At 36 years old, Im still really excited about Christmas. Only now, I take the role of ‘Santa’ and it makes it really thrilling. I do the giving.

To see my daughters eyes when she is opening up the presents, is just fabulous; and when my mother and grandmother open theirs – I gleem like “Jolly Ole Nick” …

Is the giving really important anyway? I sometimes wonder, when did people start to go haywire with all of the presents. If you are happy and healthy for Christmas, that’s all that matters. Right?

I wonder what would happen if we just had a Christmas and handed our family members, 1 present each? A small gift. An insignificant gift to them, but a worldly gift to us. What would their reactions be?
