Windows 7 Ordered and on its Way

Ok, this is the deal. I have been shopping around all week very hesitant before I bought Windows 7. Every where I went they started at $249.99 to $299.99, for the Pro version. So by chance, I started to go digging through some old business cards I had from the west coast when I lived there, and I found a shop where I had a computer built. It has the same address, same owner, but new name. They are selling Windows 7, all versions, different prices, for great prices. I picked up Windows 7 Pro [Full Version] for $139.99. How could I pass that up!

I also have enough memory on the OS, fast processor, backup drives (internal and external); but the one thing that didn’t match with Windows 7 was my TV Card. Basically for the last few months it’s been out of order, since now the digital age has come to life. So I ordered a new TV Tuner Card compatible with Windows 7,  and I am almost ready to go.

There is just one more thing that I have to do, and that is find some compatible drives for my printer. Lexmark states: “Lexmark is in the process of preparing for the launch of the new Microsoft Windows 7 operating system.” So basically it is preparing drives for my printer. So I am S.O.L. for a few days.

I have all of the other drives to install, if they don’t automatically – and I will keep you up to date, with what is happening next week, when I start the work on this system.
